How to use Consortia

Consortia is a search engine and assistant over your own corpus — the documents, conversations, and code you've ingested. It answers only from what's in the corpus, and shows you the sources.

Ask a question

Type a plain question and press Enter. You get an answer grounded in your documents, with the source paths listed underneath. If nothing relevant is found, it says so instead of inventing an answer.

Find something by name

Use /find "EXACT TEXT" for an exact, literal match — best when you know the precise name of a thing.

e.g. /find "DIRECT SPH CODEC"
The three "find by" modes

meaning — finds documents by what they're about (semantic). Best for questions. words — plain keyword search; always works, no AI budget needed. information — a compression-based, independent notion of "related." They deliberately disagree; that disagreement is a feature.
